About VIRALABeliefs · How we write · Questions

Made to understand you, and to help.

VIRALA isn’t another tracker. It’s being built independently to give women science-backed understanding of perimenopause and menopause, concrete help with what to do, and a routine that adapts to what works for them.

What we believe

Understanding is the point.
Help is the outcome.

VIRALA should give back more than it asks of you — no perfect tracking, no guilt for gaps.

  1. 01

    Heard, including the detail.

You should be understood from what you actually say: the detail, not just a symptom keyword. A restless night, a hard week and a question you can’t quite phrase all count.

  2. 02

Honest about what science can explain.

Science-backed means showing what reliable evidence can and can’t tell you, and considering other possibilities instead of blaming everything on hormones.

  3. 03

    Understanding that leads somewhere.

Small, feasible next steps you choose, shaped by what you’ve already tried and what fits your real life.

  4. 04

    Remembered, under your control.

What you’ve confirmed, tried, rejected and changed, kept only as you allow, and always yours to correct or delete.

How we write

Evidence first. Then what helps.

  1. 01

    Evidence

Every article is original writing, checked against the public-health sources it cites, including the NHS, the World Health Organization and the US National Institutes of Health. We don’t claim more certainty than the evidence supports.

  2. 02

    Sources

Each article lists its references, with links and the date each publisher last reviewed its page, so you can read further and judge for yourself.

  3. 03

    Helping

We write to help you act: what’s known, what stays individual, safe steps you can take, and when something needs a healthcare professional. A possibility is never presented as a diagnosis.

Is VIRALA available now?

Not yet. VIRALA is in development and can’t be downloaded. There is no launch date yet; people on the email list will hear first.

Who is VIRALA for?

Women in early perimenopause, perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause, including anyone who isn’t sure which stage they’re in. Only a clinician can assess that, and VIRALA won’t guess it.

What will be free?

Quick Check-in; clear, science-backed Understanding that ends in safe things you can do today; Your Story, with charts over 7, 30 or 90 days that show what’s helping; and the library, with a “what can help” for every topic. Premium is planned, with Vira for both quick check-ins and writing in your own words, deeper personal context in Your Story, and Your Routine, where help lives over time. Pricing will be shared when it’s ready.

Who is Vira?

Vira is the personal AI companion being made for VIRALA Premium. She’ll respond to your quick check-ins and to what you write in your own words, help you understand it, then suggest safe, practical steps. She’ll always be clear that she’s an AI, not a healthcare professional. There is no AI on this website.

What does “science-backed” mean here?

That explanations are grounded in relevant, trusted evidence, with their limits explained. Journal articles name and link their sources, and every library topic says what can help. It doesn’t mean the app in development has been clinically validated.

Can VIRALA diagnose a condition or choose a treatment?

No. VIRALA is for understanding and safe, everyday self-care, not diagnosis or treatment. Please talk to a qualified healthcare professional about your own symptoms and care.

What will I get by email?

Occasional updates as VIRALA takes shape, and the first word when the app is ready. We only ask for your email address, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

How can I contact VIRALA?

Email support@viralahealth.com with questions, corrections, accessibility feedback or privacy requests. Please don’t send medical records or urgent medical questions; this inbox isn’t a healthcare or emergency service.
